The opposite of “polite” is “rude”
“Polite” involves showing behavior that is respectful for other people. For example, “Joe’s been very polite to his friends.”
“Rude” means not nice, showing a bad behavior for others. For example, “Lucy was truly rude to her peers this monring.”
